Its been an arduous 9 months since Madcap was born in a small shoe in my bedroom. Its been a tedious process dissecting how we wanted the company to be laid out and what departments should take precedence. By process of elimination and a lot of trial and error, we think we have a pretty progressive model that will allow for us to take on quite a few projects in the coming year.
Our mission, first and foremost, is to find great bands and produce impeccable records. From there, we will be utilizing our stable of Madcap Multimedia Artists to assist in the production of music videos, merchandise, visual art and live events. Our goal is to sign 3-5 musical groups in the 1st year, and 10-15 Multimedia artists within our service agency. All in all it is going to be a wicked ride, with an arseload of talented folks coming together to help eachothers' vision's come alive while making a mark on the regional, national and INTERNATIONAL (muahaha) art and music scenes. We're only taking on the best of the best, so you can bank that when you hear the name Madcap, it will be synonymous with quality, integrity and most importantly, originality.
Madcap will also be offering up weekly live show reviews, movie reviews, and record reviews (with a little humor and gossip thrown into the mix) on our blog, The Madcap Zine. Please spread the word that we are accepting submissions for music groups and creatives alike. We're not scared to tell you what we think, so you may as well send it over. The least you'll get is a solid critique. Thanks for stoppin by.

I'd been meaning to check out local Seattle Hip Hoppers, MAD RAD for quite some time when i happened to stumble on their show at The Comet on Friday night. While Mad Rad sold out the show and gave an impressive performance, local rockers The Tempers stole the show. WIth a unique groove oriented sound, The Tempers utilize casio textures while retaining their rock n' roll integrity. Lead singer Corina is a gifted vocalist whose stylings range from David Bowie, to Blondie to MIA. The others fill out the Temper sound with sporadic Guitar playing, straightforward drumming and reggae keyboards. Their sound is immature, yet dark and cool. Im a fan!

We are plugging away day by day to get our little label off the ground. We already have interest in multiple Seattle acts and are plotting away. We have our designers and coders working around the clock to make some sense of the site before we launch in October. Stay tuned, Mofo.
